Well known as Arum Lily, Zantedeschia get a good start potted and placed in the greenhouse. Keep well-watered once growth begins. Alternatively, their hardy rhizomes can be planted straight into the ground in a sunny but moist position. They can also be used as an aquatic or marginal plant. Plant 10cm deep 30cm apart 10 per sq metre.
