How does it work?
This system enables plants to draw water and oxygen naturally through capillary action from the underground reservoir. This reservoir has an air / filler pipe attached which allows oxygen to ventilate the soil, and also contains a float to indicate the water level in the reservoir.

What are the advantages?
With traditional surface watering, water flows down through the soil, moistening the roots for a short period of time. Often too much or too little water is added. Aside from not being effective in supplying essential water to the plants, the constant drying and wetting of the roots also causes serious damage, as does the action of washing salts from the surface of the soil down to the roots of the plants.

This system overcomes these problems by placing a reservoir of water BELOW the roots and uses the soil's natural capillary action to create stable and optimal moisture level for the plant to thrive in.
